Feednova, a company, that realizes the first in Ukraine high-protein feed additives and animal fats production plant, located in Busk city (Lviv region), has secured an investment from UMG Investments. The latter has acquired minority stake. “We believe that participation in Feednova project will allow our portfolio company Recycling Solutions to realize its vast experience and best practices in waste management projects to the fullest extent possible”, said Andriy Gorokhov, CEO of UMG Investments.

(УКР) Україна завалена промисловими відходами — дешевим і доступним ресурсом для різних сегментів виробництва. Варто лише взяти те, що вже складується просто неба. Розвинені країни давно навчилися заробляти на переробці промислових відходів. Одних спонукає до цього екологічна логіка, інших — економічна. Найпередовішою серед усіх є острівна Японія — країна з мінімальними запасами природних ресурсів і найвищим показником циклічності економіки. Японці переробляють 98% власних відходів. При цьому більшість перероблених матеріалів повертаються до виробництва того самого типу продукту.

In 2019, Recycling Solutions sold over 2.2 million tonnes of domestic technology-related waste and 1.49 million m3 of by-products in twenty-two countries of the world, thus implementing the circular economy principles. Sales of technology-related waste increased by 22% compared to 2018. This made possible avoiding additional landfilling of 1.7 million m3 industrial waste (+70% year-on-year).
